Typical Geographical Indication
Vinified in purity
Avellino’s most ancient grape, introduced by immigrants from Thessalia in Greece. This vine is thousands of years old and was initially grown on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, then in various areas of the Province of Avellino, especially the mid reaches of the Sabato valley, where it took its modern
name, Greco. It is superb with fish, seafood and white meats, and works well as an accompaniment to cold buffets.
